École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong
The École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong was created from the strategic alliance between ParisTech and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
The École provides excellent education based on the French engineering Grandes Écoles model. The four founding Grandes Écoles (École Polytechnique, ENSTA ParisTech, MINES ParisTech and Télécom ParisTech) ensure quality, requirements and rigour.
The École ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong was inaugurated by Mr. François Hollande, French President, on 26 April 2013.
An excellent education
The education is made up of two 3-year stages:
An initial stage, supervised by experienced teachers from the preparatory classes, combining the requirements of the CPGE (Preparatory Classes for the Grandes Écoles) with the international goal of multi-disciplinary education.
An engineering degree stage, in close collaboration between the four founding Grandes Écoles and SJTU, makes it possible to train engineers based on the French Grandes Écoles method in a global context
Method, rigour, initiative and creativity are at the heart of the teaching objectives of this The École ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong.
An excellent engineering degree
At the end of the education period, the students obtain a SJTU master's, as well as graduate engineer from ParisTech. Some students have the opportunity to prepare for a double degree in one of the four founding Grandes Écoles.
Three engineering specialities are offered:
information technology (ITC)
An international education focused on innovation and the business world
The course provides mandatory internships in industry. Students are immersed in the business world and face the reality of working life.
By involving companies in education, they are at the centre of life in the Grande École. They are present in the decision-making and scientific bodies.
The Grande École provides trilingual education in French, Chinese, and English. They also receive engineering students from the ParisTech Grandes Écoles.
Many multi-disciplinary projects develop the ability to work in teams.
