The Cercle Docteurs & Entreprises is a business club created by ParisTech in 2010. It is an exchange platform to co-operate with businesses about the doctoral programmes and to understand their expectations in doctoral education, and the opportunity to become familiar with the specific features of doctoral education at ParisTech.

A common language in favour of doctoral education

The club focuses on finding a common language for business and academic representatives to address each other's issues and to promote better mutual understanding.

This exchange platform benefits from each individual's feedback to enrich the other's activities. Eventually, it will establish programmes intended to improve the anchoring of doctoral education in its socio-economic environment.

The club covers a wide number of topics, such as:

  • business and the Grandes Écoles’ doctoral and research policy

  • recruitment and career management for doctoral students

  • CIFRE team or " how to welcome a doctoral student in the laboratory"

  • chairs and international

Made up of managers of doctoral education in the ParisTech Grandes Écoles, doctoral student representatives, scientific directors and companies' HR directors, the club meets every six months at the headquarters of one of the member companies.
